I need help...
We are running backup exec on a vmware 2008r2 server.
We have got a scalar i40 unit with a Hp LTo4 tape drive.
Recently performance isseus started with the backup.
About 9 weeks ago back-up running time expanded from 8 hours to over 24 hours.
Writing speeds are 1249mb/sec when they where first over 2000.
Ive done some googling and saw that the tape unit must be shown in the device manager on the server.
Well that is not the case. Also i cant add the device in vm-ware because the device is not showing under scsi devices.
Please can you guys help me?
