Install driver BE 2014 or use by vendor for HP Ultrium 3000 LTO5

I have a machine with Symantec Backup Exec 2014 was previously installed HP Data Protector 6 and the driver by vendor HP for HP Ultrium 3000 LTO5 (device 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader).
I checked that the BE 2014 can work with this driver, but I'm not sure that I will get 2:1 compression for my backups as early.

Whether or not to install the driver BE 2014 or use the current driver by vendor HP for HP Ultrium 3000 LTO5?
